Do you do this…

i have routines……i was thinking about this the other night when i was going to bed. I was thinking about dummies, well, pacifiers, if you are from the states, and how my kids need them to drop off to sleep. I know this is mega frowned upon and the Gina Ford’s of the world would gape at me, no doubt while shaking their heads and fearing for my children’s psychological future…

but…i dont care…

nope.

and you know why, because kids use things like dummies and ‘loveys, ‘ as we call them for comfort, familiarity and routine……and we think that is odd…

but.. we do it too….

before i go drop off to sleep at night… i:

1. have to have poppers on duvet covers at the bottom of the bed…i think this should be a law:)

2. have to have a nice cool pillow to sleep on..i have two and i rotate them for maximum fluffiness

3. lay first on my left and then always turn to my right to fall asleep…any other pattern just aint good

yep..i think the psychologists call this something like self- comforting…and dont tell me it dont’ feel good….

anyways…that just my theory and i just felt like sharing it…think about it? i bet there is something you do too?

and also wanted to say.. a very happy birthday to this little chap. Elijah joined one of my favourite families yesterday evening and I got to go and say hello to him this afternoon. I just get a bit teary thinking about this little chap…he has some big things ahead….

a little pic of him and his wonderful mummy…
