and it kinda caught me by surprise.
Today was Isaac’s last day at nursery and saying goodbye to the lovely nursery staff just caught me off guard. I dont know if it just made it more real that he is going to school in about 8 weeks time, or that going to nursery has been a part of my life for a year and a half and the ladies there are a bit like ‘family.’ Maybe its just that transition thing..moving from one stage to another is always a bit scary..the unknown…its exciting because i think he is really ready for school but scary at the same time because its the end of the innocent baby years.
sheesh…im just welling up thinking about it…
it was a space man and under the sea party at nursery today!!?? I made isaac a little spaceman helmet guessing he probably wouldnt wear it, he doesnt really ‘do’ dressing up. He didnt, but he did ask to put it on once we got home….
and of course Maisie wanted to have a go to.
I know what you mean ending the school year! Jordan has just finished Reception class which means he is no longer in the Foundation stage of school life so we got given all his development folders from the start of nursery till now. It’s a bit emotional looking at all the things they wrote about what he said & how he spoke (he’s been having speech therapy for 2 years so the change is dramatic) & looking at all the pictures he drew & photos they took…. He looks so small & you can see how much he’s changed since then…. SIGH It’s the end of an era but it’s all good! Hope Isaac has a fantastic time at school. I’m sure he’ll love it just like Jordan does. :O)

It’s hard when you realize how big they are getting! Cam’s gonna be in first grade and this is Pay’s last year before Pre school. I get choked up to by it.
