waiting for the tooth fairy…

or actually maybe 'she' or 'he' is waiting for us….

more specifically him…

Isaactooth

who is yet to loose a tooth but that one at the front, on the right,  has been 'wobbling' for weeks and now its going all weird and small and yellow and to be honest its turns my stomach a bit…and so it needs to go…

I was wondering if it was a case of a 'tooth for a tooth' sort of thing because Matilda has only just cut her first tooth and i was thinking you know..she gets a tooth..he looses a tooth..balance….

..in the tooth universe…

umm…

yeah….

so…we are waiting…

but i have been led to believe that inflation has hit the tooth fairy big time and we might be looking at a pritty tidy sum per tooth…

so maybe we can wait a bit longer.

long since gone…

our brush with that of the alpine ways…here in liverpool..but it was good while it lasted…everything looks so dirty now!  Some of the roads have got crater sized holes in them. I remember when i was travelling in Canada. Someone told me that in Winnipeg there was just two seasons. Winter and Construction! I guess snow gives the roads a hammering..so those few days of bliss are now being paid for by our suspension!

ah well..i think it was worth it…and so did these two

Thesnowbenissac

Isaac is totally inappropriately dressed for playing in the snow. He was soaked all the way through but he just.didn't.care. Its been a long time since ive seen Ben carrying snowboards…looking pretty hot if i might say..!

As we were leaving the hill we shouted for Isaac only to see that he had grabbed a broken piece of sledge and was trying to get down the hill…one.last.time..

I think Ben was secretly pretty proud of him y'know.

and here is a link isaac on one of his first few goes……

so did you hear the one about…??

Matilda11months

the 11 month old post when im nearly a year!??

Well here it is..late but not quite on her first birthday.

This was taken just before she was 11 months for the christmas card, think i may have posted it before but she was not amused by the shenanigans!
Matildatinsel
anyway on to business…

at 11 months:

1. You sleep fairly well. Most nights are good..some are fussy.

2. You have one tooth….can i get a fanfare…you didnt make much of a big deal about it, a few grumbly sulky faces. But its there and no doubt awaiting its friends.

3. You have developed a frown. We see it quite a bit.  Im not quite sure if its just a practice of facial muscles or actually 'im ticked of with you!' yet.

4. You like dried fruit of all kinds. Which is good…you.know….for the downstairs departments…*Ahem*

5. I think you may even recognise the infamous Cadbury purple *shame*

6. You are developing a fun game of 'wack the nearest sibling' They think its fun, i tell them it wont be when you are 2 and doing it…'cos it will hurt then….

7. This month you decided that the stationary life was loosing its attractiveness and you got on your hands and knees and got off. We have found you in a variety of places, i think you favourite is either turning out the washing from the basket or the recycling from the bucket. Happy times =)

8. Still Sleeping in the Nature Nest, I have checked and they take up to two year olds. It still works for you, it still works for us kwim?

9. You have the tiniest little feet. I have no idea what size your first shoe will be. Isaac found his first shoes when we were tidying up the loft and wondered to me if you could wear them. Nice idea but i think you might be about 2 by then!

10. You have already assaulted two 'other' children…for minding their own business and daring to pass you on a particularly grumpy day. We need to have a chat about 'getting on with others!'

11. You are starting to get a bit fussy about feeding yourself and then sometimes it seems like you just cant be bothered and you get stressed if we try to offer you the spoon for a bit of independence??

12. You had your first experience of snow this month. Awe and wonder and a bit of 'yeah okay..no fun being shoved in the snow' faces.

13. You love the rabbit..from a distance at least at the moment…think that will change. He is probably not looking forward to that!

Matildarabbit

14. You are growing up and your character is starting to show. I think we have some fun ahead of us.

15. You are a bit of cling-on..when people ask for a cuddle..i am now just saying 'you are welcome to, but she will scream!'

16. Your siblings love you, you are their live play-thing. Picking you up and moving you about like a piece on a chess board. Now, though im starting to wonder if its you that has covered that distance on your own steam or whether you have had a bit of help…

17. You take bottles when Mummy is at work..quite happily..praise the Lord!

18. Your words are still baby babble, including a delightful number where you click your jaw over and over again and make baby noises…okaaaay…

19. You are still not too keen on water or juice although Daddy gave you some thick grape juice at a party and you face said 'oh…my..what the heck is that..its gor-geous'

20. You still love the tub. Bath-time is fun and you can be cranky as and then bathtime comes along and you are so much happier.

Wow that scary number one is just round the corner

Miss P….

who didn't get a proper birthday post….my babies..they all made their way into the world all bunched up at the end of the year. 5 months- 4 babies (4 birthdays) and christmas thrown in the mix too…..fun fun fun..

Anyway so here we are…..

Poppywall

1. On your fourth birthday you are our beautiful little girl.

2. You are cautious with new people but warm and sweet when you take to them.

3. You love the TV. We have battles about how much of it you should watch. You want more, I want less.

4. You love to cook. You are always the first to ask 'can i help' when there is some food preparation going on. You chop carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, broccoli..anything really. You will have a go at stirring and whisking and you pretty much know the ingredients for fairy cakes off the top of your head.

5. You love books. You are a bookworm. Often at pre school that is what i find you doing, in the book corner looking at books. You favourite book changes and the night time book is always taken to bed with you and you will flick through it before settling down. You like all charlie and lola books.

6. You play in your own world a lot..playmobil characters come to life and live busy and slightly complicated and bizarre lives on our playroom floor. I remember the horse that lived in the house with the fairies and the toy cars and trains coming over for lunch.

7. You get scared very easily. We cannot do 'lets pretend to be lions and tigers' with you. Its not your thing.

8. You love cats but you are scared of dogs.

9. You pick up music very quickly. A song you hear on the radio you will be humming at tea and it will then become 'your song'

10. You are so sensitive but sometimes hiding behind the toughness of being the third kid. You can get rough and mean to your baby sister but then cover her in kisses. Its okay you know..the struggle to find your fit…we get that…but we've seen you giving Matilda a quick knock when you think no-one is looking, you tinker.

11. You are a little reluctant to say sorry and  sometimes have to think about the 'i forgive you' but the important thing is that you get there. I actually prefer it to the sometimes flippant 'sorry'…it shows you are giving to some thought.

12. You said your favourite meal is Cake!

13. You have an aversion to socks…you never ever keep them on….this is not a new thing but it is something that on occasion makes me go demented.

14.You are the only one of our kids who eats tomatoes!

15. You have the most amazing blue eyes.

16. You love swimming…the first time you started swim class i just about had to hold my heart in my chest the way you threw yourself in the water.

17. You tried ballet..you gave it up..you want to do it again now…..

18. You learn spanish. You can say a few spanish words, i think you love it that you do something that your siblings don't..third child thing again huh?

19. You hate wearing any clothes that are in the tiniest bit wet…just a speck of water will send you stripping off.

20. You have the most incredible belly-bubbling laugh. You always have had. I remember someone commenting on it when you were only a baby. Its contagious.

So..you have finished your tea…you start the 'im fed up of this chair now' wriggle… you get down to the floor……

the  F..L….O……O….R….

who ever knew what treasures it would hold?

sometimes you might be joined by some fellow floor dwellers….

Matildaundertable3

but you don't care….

because there is sustenance down there….

Matildaunderta5

*obviously you know I in no way endorse feeding your baby from the floor blah blah blah *
