Is it really only tuesday? Feels like a lot more time has past since the weekend…
So hang in there for this ten on tuesday it might be somewhat focused all things ick…please dont carry on reading if you are having your lunch or dinner…you'll see why..
bear with me.
1. I mentioned on twitter the middle of last week how we were visiting with the winter vomiting bug in our house. Well it came in, pulled up a chair and settled down for a long stint. All is well with D&V's in our house till one of the big guns is taken out (aka mummy or daddy) then it all starts to go south…
In a wonderful new twist to its route through our house (don't you love it when bugs mix it up a bit!) it has seemingly struck twice and just when you think you are in that wobbly, shivery, muscle aching but non-vomiting place that signals your recovery…it returns and gives you another opportunity to get closely re-aquainted with the bathroom.
2. There's a threshold moment in a childs life when they don't do the 'wake up, sit up and VOMIT instantly' some members of my family need to hurry up and reach that threshold…..
3. Babies who are feeling better get a bit of delight out of throwing random things INTO sick buckets……ewwwwww.
4. That would be me in the garden in the middle of the night…turfing toys out of one of the garden trug buckets because we had run out of sick bucket options….blech…
5. *whisper*and…i know i don't need to mention the state of the toilet right? right?
6. What irritates me most about tummy bugs is there is just nothing you can do..you just have to hunker down and weather them out. No meds to take, no solutions, apart from maybe those hydration powders..yeah try getting a kid who is already feeling sick to drink those….um..gag…
7. One of our vomitees this past week or so insisted on having company all the time she felt sick…thats just felt sick..not actually was sick… uh huh fun family nights sat round a puke bucket..i mean WHATS not to LOVE about that! reminded me a little bit of those head-drooping times waiting for a baby to finish feeding in the wee small hours of the morning.
8. Stomach cramps that are bad enough to warrant some 'being in labour' style breathing is no fun whatsoever.
9. 'mummy isnt feeling well' in toddler/baby language obviously means 'please jump/pummel/elbow and knee your mother in as many places as possible'
10. you know its bad when you have to go and buy yourself new slippers because you realise you have caught a bit of splashback on them and you can't actually remember who or when that was…
finally, ladies, you know you you are, c'mon leave a comment with a link and spread some blog love. Ill try and get a linky up for next week once my legs stop shaking.
Love it Sarah! somehow you make sickness funny.. Thanks for the No.10.used it on my blog and i think ive set up a like to yours but im not sure.Technophobe…
