so saturday…..
it ended in a rather sensational way with a trip to the minor injuries for children as Matilda sliced her chin open when she tripped over a roundabout at the playground. Toddlers and busy playgrounds are not a great mix and Matilda is determined to do everything by herself.
So lots of blood, lots of screaming, lots of people…meant that a security guy tried to call an ambulance for us….for a cut chin…yep im sure the paramedics would love being called out for that…anyway we made a hasty exit from the playground and Matilda fell asleep fortunately and slept through most of the sticking and glueing needed for a chin. I say most because towards the end of it she started to wake up and i just said to the nurse 'please just get it done because once she comes round properly she is not going to calm down'
which she didn't….
Id just about got her calm when we were leaving…but Ben met us outside the treatment area and she burst into tears again and sobbed on his shoulder…awww the things only a Daddy can do eh?
So anyway who are your valentines? We are having a budget busting 'dinner in' tonight. Left over from when we were given meals when J was born. Then probably a nice evening watching The West Wing…we are only part way through season 1 and i know there are about 7 seasons now..so tempted to google and find out whats happened and changed in the later seasons….
but….must….resist…..
