1. you can never put too much stuff on an easter bonnet…so Poppy believes….more is more…so to speak..
2. After weeks of trying to avoid the vom-bug thats going about. We have all been hit by the cold/flu/cough/head like lead bug thats going around. The kids play a good game of 'see who can cough the loudest' throughout the night and im starting to wonder if my nose has forgotten its job description and is no longer functioning properly….and slowly turning red.
3. We got caught in the mother of all storms today. Walking home from school it started to rain, then hail, then pour and then blow….yeh..i had some happy kids when i finally sailed the buggy down the road. Once you are caught in it..you just got to keep on going and we did. All soaked, bar Matilda who was in the buggy under a rain cover but felt the need to add to the stress of the situation by screaming…dont know if it was the hail, the mad running, bumping of the buggy or the rain cover that she took particular objection to.
4. Maisie had her easter service today, which meant i went to the school a record 4 times today, one drop off..back for easter service…back for school nurse appointment (which was highly useful*cough*) and then back for pick up. Anyways it took me a while to locate her in the crowds of kids. But i did. Matilda was hanging from my leg throughout most of the service which is reflected in the video..ha
Maisie spied me right at the end when she was walking out..which, for me, is the most important part. I told her in the morning that she could be sure that i would be there even if she couldnt see me…and she said 'its okay mummy, i can always look around and find you.'
5. I have mentioned Pioneer women before and she sometimes runs flickr submission groups. She is doing one this week themed 'green' so i did a bit of digging in iphoto and found this little sweet picture. Poppy at probably about 18 months. In the days when i could get her to wear jeans…
6. I mentioned that we went to a wedding on saturday. it was great. They got married in the church we got married in and the girls came with us to see the princess. Which is great for a few minutes when the bride walks past but otherwise its a whole heck of a lot of sitting still..but they managed it, and she was a beautiful bride..
7. Yesterday i decided that we need to get a people carrier with sliding doors…oh..yes…we…do….for my own safety, the kids safety but more importantly the safety of the cars parked either side of my car when my door wielding and throwing children get themselves in the car. Suggestions welcome..oh but not the voyager..bench seats…no good..
8. The tooth fairy has been working some over time here. Isaac lost two teeth over the weekend, in fact on the same day. The top tooth which has been wobbly..forever..came out on sunday and then he was in the bath trying to move a bath crayon up a notch with his teeth (as you do) and a bottom one came out too. Unsure that we had any cash we told him that the tooth fairy might not work weekends but we managed to find some and he is now the proud owner of some more money and a few more gaps in his teeth. Takes some getting used to!
9. Creme eggs are no good for you…i just need to keep telling myself that ;)
10. My folks were here for the weekend, although not the tooth extraction bit. To help with the babysitting duties over the time of the wedding. Poppy, Matilda and I met them at the station…
School breaks on thursday…w-o-o-t!

We drive a Citroen C8 and really like it. The doors not only slide, but open at the touch of a button on your key. I thought it was a bit gimmicky when we got it, but actually, it’s incredibly useful. 🙂
