No, not that down under. South Africa. 

We grabbed a few hours with our friends who live in Cape Town and are currently visiting home and catching up with their family and friends.

Aside from it being christmas which is a fairly busy time of year just recently we have been riding the sickness wave here…muchly. 

and to be honest. 

it just outright sucks. 

I have been battling a persistant and 'unhappy to leave' gastric thing which is pretty much restricting me to toast if I dont want to spend most of my days attached to 'la salle de bain' 

Our littlest girl has had hands, foot and mouth..again…and this time developed a viral wheeze with her symptoms and so has to have an inhaler. Now that is a FUN little procedure to carry out. 

Everyone else has been snotty, chesty, viral ridden yuck which of course we successfully managed to happily share with my parents when they came to stay. Merry Christmas, look what we got you!!

Add to that the fact that no-one under the age of 10 is digging the idea of sleeping all the way through the night right now and you can pretty much see why my blogging has wilted…

ten years ago..

one journey together began…

you know though, my first thought when i looked at this shot on my camera display was' S*** thats a lot of people!' which im unsure as to whether it indicates just how FAR in denial I am about having five children OR the fact that it might be one of the first pictures of all of us together. ha!
