is it still tuesday? 

1. We went to a local park today and the light was just beautiful. Perfect autumn day and bonus is it hasn't even been that cold today!

its a cliche i know but i can't help but be freaked out by how grown up she is in this picture. Of course, she is still in nappies and she is well, well over 2 and a half..which i think is the sort of cut off for all respectable parents….well….

meh….

2. My beautiful girl…gosh now she really is growing up..

3. I had a photoshoot today…and i had forgotten the time…i thought it was later, it was actually earlier. Mum and baby arrived and the photographer was…still in the shower!! Oops. Fortunately mum was a little early and so we swiftly set up and the shoot came out just fine. Phew. Need to check check times. 

4. I am fairly busy at the moment with shoots, which is great. Trying to learn as i go and read read read..but i just need more time in the day….

5. Half term usually marks slow starts for us in this house. But our older girls are part of a ballet school that is putting on a show in November and so they are up early for rehersals….not quite as early as the school run but not far off….

6. Music for today? 

fairly uninspired choice i know, but this is a great running song.  

7. I was thinking of this for a few people for christmas this year but the reviews are not so great. What do you think steve jobs

8. We watched this movie with the kids this week. Really good, they all loved it. My kids (well one in or two in particular) are not big on films with scary 'baddies' in them, which i don't think is that bad a thing..but this was a good watch. Also little insightful moment when the lead animal type character says 'We eat to live, the humans live to eat!'

9. Eggs…this time i managed to crush 9 of them in the shopping trollet, not enough so that they went everywhere but enough to know that they were either for the bin or a good egg cook up that evening. My kids are not real fans of eggs on their own. So quick victoria sandwich and batch of brownies…so much for that diet eh?

10. Laslty my not so little son. Turned 9 a few weeks ago. 9! For goodness sake. He told me what high school he would like to go to the other day. Er…no…we will be having none of that nonsense talk, Far too young..far too young…

He was made up to get an email from a friend of his who lives overseas this week and he has been pestering me about going to see him. 'We could just go for the weekend?' If only it was actually that simple right?

 and because really there are some originals that should just be left alone…and yeah i know im going on about it!!

But my old VHS copy (remember those!) must have been watched a million times over and over…and this was only £3 i just had to have it. Now my kids can watch it…maybe. But actually might first start with the OH has he hasn't seen it either. Well he was probably in primary school or something when it was released ;))

Funnily enough it is a 15 cert. Which i find weird. Im sure i wasnt 15 when i saw it and im struggling to think of what was in it that would make it a 15. Although a 15 then and a 15 now..probably very very different things. *nods head like old lady*

I guess its one of those things and im sure there were re-makes of films that I watched as a kid, thinking they were a complete original. I know it happens but when its one of my favourites i am going to have a little moan about and reminise on the good 'ole days.

Just out of curiousity does whoever they have playing Kevin Bacon ….ack…as if anyone could… does he actually drive an OLD VW bug in the new film or have they subsituted in one of the new Bugs and does he do 'that' dance?

Just wondering

that time again!

This week my little J bird is sick and fighting off a virus. She is okay, just grumpy, fed up and clingy. Which is very sad and somewhat hard to navigate through when there are 4 other kids who need attention too!

So this week…

baby i promise to make sure i give you extra cuddles and bear with you my sweet girl while you ride out this virus. We love you honey.

My first attempt last week was perhaps one of my favourite posts ever. So had to rock up and have another go today. This one from days when there was sun…..remember that?
