Seven in apartyofseven

Maisie7
my sweet girl turned 7. I still think of her as about…um…4..

I get all emotional about my oldest girl. She is such a good kid, helpful, thoughtful and such a diplomat. Which is a very good thing, given the two she is between if you know what i mean 😉

Anyway so seven on seven for my baby number 2

1. She LOVES dogs..anyone who knows her will sagely nod their head at this point because she will have no doubt talked the ear of you about dogs, which dog she will get, how she will look after it etc etc…

2. Heart on sleeve kind of kid, be that amazing, smiley super-duper emotion or the kind that makes your ears bleed.

3. She is, without doubt, my best model. Strike a pose…anytime.

4. She sleeps with a few THOUSAND soft toys in her bed. I have given up wondering why she wants to sleep in exactly a millimetre space.

5. She giggles when she talks about 'kisses' and 'boyfriends'….hmmm..which is sweet and endearing and altogether scary as hell at the same time.

6. She has a have-a-go attitude.

7. She picked toad in the hole and french fries for her birthday tea. Last year a sausage on her plate for tea would have induced a melt down!

Our girl. our sweet little looby-lou. Happy Birthday

ten on tuesday.

Ten

Sharing from the wrong side of consciousness really..so it may get bumpy.

1. September is here, its windy, rainy and the trees have given up and are surrendering their leaves and conkers etc with nary a complaint.

Hey you hear that segment on the radio about tree's stomach's rumbling? must find the link…

2. September for us is b-us-sy. We have visitors, birthdays, parties, relatives all in a concentrated area of time. its like all our plans have slid together and bunched up. Weird how that happens sometimes and then its the C word round the corner.

3. The sun is coming up later now and when it does it turns the sky the most amazingly deep blue. Im talking early doors though…

4. Strictly is back. Whoop-de-Whoop. I love it. Not sure who half the celebs are but im thinking that the dancers are becoming crowd pullers themselves right?

5. Also (and i hate myself for saying this) ive actually enjoyed the X factor (the bits i have seen) and it has mostly to do with one Gary Barlow. Isn't he lovely….

6. Thoughts on going to a hotel/restaurant for Christmas lunch? I know i said i wouldnt mention it but i was thinking about it today and wondering if its worth a look. I, obviously, have to work christmas day at some point (yeah…really…'please don't push and go home and watch the royal family…doesn't work) ..so thinking lunch out might take the strain…although there is the thought of 5 off the chart excited kids raising havoc in a constrained area.!!!

7. A friend of mine has recently found out they are having an oopsiedaisy baby 🙂 and its a girl. Hooray said i….Not least because girlies are lovely (don't fling the eggs, boys are too) but mostly because i have a one plan drop off shop for all our hand me down girlie stuff.

8.  Hubster was telling me about a price comparison site you can go to and just put in the barcode number on you grocery receipt and it will do a price comparison and you can claim the difference back. Anyone use it? Seems like it could be a good idea or one of those things that you curse the amount of time it took to get 60p back.

9. Someone tweeted that something they had on ebay sold with one bid for 99pence. That has got to suck. That probably doesnt even cover your shoe leather costs for walking to the post office.

10. I went to a meeting at school this evening which was about kids music lessons in school. Little miss M is keen to learn the violin and i was flabbergasted that they lady doing the presentation kept stopping and waiting and asking for quiet and shhhh-ing the toddlers and babies who were in with their families for the meeting. My view, if the school don't want small kids in meetings then they need to give an alternative..like a creche. Until then…its pretty darn hard to get an 11 month old who thinks walking is the greatest thing she has done so far (which i suppose it is) to stop moving, sit still and be totally quiet…geeez…

and with that i am fuzzily signing off…

yes…

i know….

fuzzily isn't a word…

why don't you do a ten on tuesday and link it somewhere so i can check it out.  twitter: apartyofseven 🙂

haven’t done this in ages…

but a ten on tuesday..only its not…i know..

but entirely don't care.

1. Today i have been soaked by rain twice, it has rained most of the day, it is raining beyond enough here. I think there is some end of the world theory beginning and Noah will be turning up shortly with his boat. So much for these 'green and pleasant land' – 'wet, grey and depressing' more like. pffttt.

2. Our car failed its MOT, it was in the garage getting its bits fixed and racking up a sexy little bill for us. I picked it up at lunchtime, looking drowned and took it to school to pick the kids up. Walking towards the car my boy says 'wow, look the car has a new exhaust!'..this coming from the boy who asks me 'have you seen my shoes?' when they are in fact beside him. Ben assures me this is perfectly normal.

3. I just lost an entire order at moo.com when ordering some business cards…yup…chuffed about that.

4. Im feeling somewhat bereft at the idea of finishing the west wing series. We are on the last disc and i can't bear to watch the end….it'll be like loosing a friend.

5. A friend from a while ago has had some crappy and tragically unfair news lately….which given that i have just spent four points moaning about the rain, my car and an order of cards, means that i should give myself a slap and shut up.

6. Do you send birthday presents to kids in your extended family? You think you should? I do..birthdays are special. its your day after all.

7. Why do parents of kids in school park on double yellow lines outside the school? Aside from the 'its a lousy example to your kids' thing. Its a real two fingers at the school who ask about a zillion times a year to not park on the double yellows.

8. My camera needs to see light of day once again, since the holiday I haven't used it that much. I have photoshoots coming up in October..but i don't really mean that. Just using it because i can. I need to…

9. I am back on nights now after a summer of day shifts. I can safely say i prefer nights…days are…um…different…shall we say 🙂

10. I decided to follow William Fox Pitt on twitter, an eventer who i knew a little back in the day. With RT's and mentions i managed to go from a twitter feed that had nary a mention of the horsey variety in it to lots of horsey folk related tweets. it was a little bizarre.

um…

yeah…

sorry about the moaning…..

happy faces everyone

🙂

wait…

think i may have lost the attention of my audience…
