more a question of when than if…

that is…this…

at a little local quarry that Ben went to climb at as a student. Going back with harnesses and ropes next time and plans for a bit of abseiling……and a few extra grey hairs for me 🙂

Love the fact that her shades are tucked in her trousers just above Ben's hand, which i suspect was taking most of her weight. Love her.

that top one is from a beautiful tree that is in my neighbours garden but leans over and dusts our lawn with pink every year. Its a gorgeous tree. It is quite a paradox to the rest of his garden as he never does anything to it and the lawn is completely over run with brambles, big holes and dog muck. Which is why i love this tree so much it grows, flourishes and every year is so stunning in spite of its ugly surroundings. Nature is pretty incredible.

being careful what you say…

after three toddlers who are now school-age..you would think i would have learnt the lesson…

you know…that one where you say something that * ahem* maybe you shouldn't and your smiling, innocent mini-human repeats it back to you with all the clarity of a church bell ringing on a quiet sunday morning.

you know…that lesson…

it would appear…that i am particularly slow in learning said lesson…

because the other day, i was trying to stop Matilda doing something and was talking to her quite reasonably, explaining why climbing the window sill, standing on the radiator to launch yourself into the baby cot is not a good idea…when she looked at me and said…

'i don't care…..'

and i think i gasped…..

that is after i picked my jaw of the floor….

a princess story…

how cute is this. Just one from a little family session i did today. What i love about this sort of shot is that you can create your own story. In looking at the image there are so many things you actually don't know. What she is looking at? Is she waiting for someone, something…….You can allow your mind to ponder, come up with something fanciful or something ordinary…it doesn't matter, because the commentary to this picture is up to you. I love that.
