giving us a laugh

yesterday at tea time Matilda who is quite frankly getting some serious wear out of her grumpy pants at the moment appeared in the kitchen with an orange felt tip in her hand.

ben said ' oh who has been drawing on her cheek?'

I said ' well she has got a pen in her hand so i should imagine it was her…'

ben said 'umm..i don't think she can draw this..'

Matildaface

'Okay' said i…'who has been drawing on the baby?'

Maisie piped up 'it was me i thought she needed a smiley face.'

At which point Ben nearly fell off the bench laughing or at least doing the 'i shouldnt be laughing laugh that parents do'

im guessing Matilda moved when Maisie was in the middle of her masterpiece as it looks more like a sad face to me……

ah well…..

lets live a little and do a ten on tuesday..but on wednesday…

oh how dizzy can you get….

1. Maisie has her ballet exam on friday. Her pre-primary..i have  no idea what it entails…her ballet class is very much a 'behind closed doors' thing. We just turn up and hand over the cash….she doesn't seem that worried about it.

2. The kids thought i was a bit nuts telling Ben that there was a big surprise in the bedroom……freshly laundered pillows! yes its sad but true…sort of bury your head in the pillow and breathe in the freshness

3. Isaac's x wing figher finally arrived. He used some of his pocket money to buy it and it has been flying around the house ever since making its 'not annoying at all' fighter type noises..

Xwingfighter

he still looks at me in disbelief when i tell him that the toy itself is actually older than him.

4. Matilda's passport arrived and we all breathed a sigh of relief..we can take her with us now.

5. Discovered some cool free actions here at this website…

6. Listened to this on the radio the other day and was dancing round the kitchen thinking 'hmm very 80's' then checked out the video and once again thought 'very 80's'……i remember it seeming far cooler back then…heh 🙂

im thinking maybe back then tho the women wouldnt be dancing around in quite such skimpy bikinis…but i might be wrong….obviously didnt pay that much attention to lady dancers when i was in my youth ;P

 7. Me and the pavement enjoyed some time this morning. It is a real battle of the mind to actually get out of bed but once i was up and out, i loved it. Nothing like quite empty roads and a bit of head space…and some exercise thrown in too…

8. Isaac's front tooth, that started wobbling on the 16th December, i know that because I was at work and Ben sent me a text has still YET to fall out. It is so wobbly now im almost at the point of grabbing and pulling…..

9. Matilda's feet are too small. The lady in Clarks measured a feet and the little measuring thingy dropped below their smallest size before hitting her big toe. 'her feet are too small' the lady said. 'oh' said i. big head, small feet. Im wondering if this baby is ever going to be in proportion :=)

10. Im getting used to tesco delivery online nowadays. Although we are still working through the over-ordering of bread i managed…somehow..last time. But the other day I was coming home and i passed a Tesco 'you shop, we drop' articulated truck (usually its a little van)stopped outside one of the large houses on queens drive…really isnt that just showing off?

a few bits of cinema…

a bit dodgy and blurry in places..i read somewhere that no-one uses AF on videos on slr’s..so ive been trying to go manual. Its a bit harder than it looks…

this is one of the first pieces Maisie learnt. She is following the music which is why it is a little on the slow side and also she is sat on a push along horse, which is why she is going backwards and forwards…my videoing isnt quite that bad..and yes we need a piano stool 🙂

Poppy’s prayers…

Poppycandles1

after our lunch on mother's day we strolled down Hope Street and went into the Catholic Cathedral. I dont think i have ever been in there. Its an interesting place. Matilda did some 'echo' practice and the kids lit lots of candles….Poppy in particular liked it and said lots of prayers to go along with each candles. Most of them being for my parent's dog, who is no longer with us.
