wishing you all…

a very merry and happy christmas time. My christmas wish is especially for all those who are working today, not just at the womens but all emergency services who have to suck it up and work on christmas day…..we are gonna get treasures guys im telling ya..

🙂

Nativityplaymobil

this playmobil nativity was given to the girls by family and its really sweet. Although thinking perhaps Mary didn't wear such a tight fitting dress..she looks a bit…er…busty and im not sure if that would be a good look for the 'mother of God'. The little kid to the right is, in fact, angel gabriel..who seems a bit on the small side for you know…the chief angel 'n all…and baby jesus has a full on mullet…not sure that King J would have had that crazy do even as a baby ?

Anyway …Merry Christmas everyone from our family to yours….

a lesson in parenting…

liverpool one is a shopping metropolis in liverpool city centre and this year it got its very own eye…

Wheelone

We took the kids on this a few weeks ago. Now I am not a fan of big wheels. If im going to be dangled from a great height I would rather just get it over and done with and not 'enjoy the view' so to speak…and big wheels go round slow. The thing I really dont like about them, however,  is the stopping and starting when they let people on. Waving to and fro in the air…it just ain't natural….but then neither is voluntarily putting yourself in a little box, dangling from a giant circle…..

anyhoo…the kids thought it was great. I tried to disguise my fears when it stopped and started and swung back and forth….

Not sure i did a very good job as Isaac shouted at the top of his voice, when it started swinging with a little bit more vigour, 'i think we re going to die!"

*cough cough* that will be me failing the 'dont pass your fears onto the kids' part of parenting 101 then…

on this day…

i married my friend….

Bensarahvancouver

(it was actually yesterday..technically).

I have five 'best ever' days in my life and our wedding day was one of those…fairly obvious i think of the other four. It was the perfect 'blue sky' winter day. Freezing cold but bright sunshine. I rode to the church in a 1969 show winning split screen camper van which was so incredible and also so incredibly cold. Bless those VW lack of heating systems! I have so many favourite moments from that day..but we walked out of the church to 'let it snow' by Dean Martin. Which seems very appropriate given the weather we have been having recently!

This picture was taken on the mountain range that stands behind the great city of Vancouver. You can just see over Ben's shoulder that there is a little baby bobble head sleeping in a carrier. That was Poppy and she was about 7 months old. We both love the idea of travelling, and both believe that it is a good experience for the kids to have but havent done that much of it recently. Hopefully that is soon to change and the whole family  will be setting off on a big adventure.

Hang on…the ride may be about to get bumpy!

the best sheep…

Michealsheep

dont you think? This is Isaac's good friend Michael and he was a sheep in the nativity. It was the best part for me, apart from Isaac delivering his line so well. But the sheep…they were just class….

I think the boys are at the top age range of 'looking okay dressed in white tights!' But Michael carried it off like a pro…

a little over one minute of fame…

for our boy Isaac…

Isaacnativity

this is a shot i took of him at the school nativity….he was a narrator and had the closing line of the play which he delivered really well.

A few days ago we were listening to Chris Evans drivetime show on radio 2 and Isaac decided he would like to phone in for the 'i did something for the first time' slot. We missed the time yesterday and so today he was on at me from as soon as we came out of school.

Ben called and spoke to the researcher who then spoke to Isaac and asked him what he had done for the first time..and he said…well ill let you listen in….

My boy, on national radio…cool..the great thing is that we had a visit from our lovely neighbours a few  minutes later all 'Isaac i heard you on the radio!' and then texts from people saying they had heard it. Ben said to him at teatime…

"isaac, i think you are a bit of a rock star'

and he said…

'No i'm a Radio Star!'

Got to love it…by my reckoning he has still got 4 minutes of fame left
