a morning of non competitive sports…

my last one when i dont have to rush between two kids cheering them on. Maisie will be there next year as part of reception class…But today was Isaac's day and he did great, although his house team came third which he wasnt that impressed with….but we have long chats about how good it is to just 'do your best regardless of the outcome…' its a toughie for him 🙂

the guy in the blue tracksuit in the background is a young teacher training student who the kids totally love. His name is Eddie and if he says something is true….you had better believe it…

The crazies…

we all get them..our kids have got them a lot recently. Its like someone has fired them up with sugar and E numbers and set them loose. They charge around the house like out of control fireworks and sometimes its best to just let them run themselves out. The best thing about it is it seems to include all of them and they all get along in the madness…if you see what i mean…

even baby Matilda, who this evening was having none of the 'your off to bed' nonsense and shouted at us A LOT until i picked her up and she was like 'big beaming smiles and hi there' all over her face…
Gotta love them tho…

Friday night…

is apparently NOT the night to go to the local kids A&E (ER)….and yup after my last friday evening I can absolutely positively agree with that. Maisie fell over at school, in a pretty spectacular way it has to be said and then screamed about her arm for the next hour or so. Off we went, got booked in and when i got round to Minor injuries and saw there was not even a free chair my heart dropped.

She had calmed down by this time and was relatively happy but wouldnt move her arm or let me touch it..but when the lovely staff nurse spoke to her she smiled and laughed and moved her arm…..er…okaaay….

An X ray and another wait and we got seen and told that there was possibly a tiny fracture at her wrist and they would treat conservatively anyway and splint it…which they did, she was not happy about that…

So we are going back next week and im guessing that they will say she is fine. But i made a large mental note to myself to remember that our Maisie is nothing if not a bit of a drama queen as she proved when we were half way to the hospital and she stopped screaming in a split second and said..

'mummy, when Poppy hurt her arm did she go to the hospital too!"
