and we dont have any problem with that being snow sport people but i have a feeling he may well be in for a shock because he thinks he can ski because he can ski wii…and I have told him that actual skiing is much much harder and colder than living room wii ski…which he seems to understand….

is finally putting in some effort and getting her last couple of teeth..at nearly three and a half…honestly its a bit slack really…

Mind you, all our kids have got teeth late. Isaac didnt have any teeth up until he was 1 and the earliest to gain a tooth was Maisie, i think, at 10 months! So looks like Matilda is going to be a 'gummy' for a while. Which is cute in babies but not so much for 6 year olds whose teeth are showing no real interest in wobbling or moving out the way for the big boy adult teeth. Its tough in school when all your friends are loosing their teeth (which in itself is a slightly weird sentence to write!)

So Poppy is getting some teeth and that makes her m.a.d.

She is in a bad mood most of the time, she reminds me a bit of a cat,  sitting with its tail flicking back and forth. Just waiting…..

We love Poppy!!

another change of plan…

We visited some friends of ours who live about an hour or so away and went and had a picnic at a local national trust property. When we arrived there was a big long queue to get in and we ended up parking in the over flow parking (which was a big field) and in the end the sun was shining so we just hung out by the cars and the kids ran up and down, flying kites, kicking balls and generally being free to be. So not the trip to the national trust property that had been planned but lots of fun had in the national trust property car park……

12 weeks..

12 weeks old today..Wow that is a water shed right there isnt it…I mean 12 weeks, officially no longer a squidy newborn and now growing into a nearly 3 month old babba. Cant. quite. believe. it.

So some things about my little Matilda Rose…

1. She is all smiles at the moment, toothless, lovely bits of sunshine. she doesnt care who you are or it seems in fact what you are she will give you a great big smile. The fridge, the cooker, the bathtub and bizarrely, today, the talcum powder bottle.

2. She still has a cold…i think she is getting on for about 4 weeks worth now…c'mon antibodies do your stuff!

3. She sleeps…really well and im not a 'sleep-bragger'…you know the type…'oh, really..your baby was up all night…hmm…little Joey has been sleeping through since his first night at home..' Those kind of comments always make you want to scratch your eyes out in despair dont they? So I wont go on, she has just sorted herself out…i still have no formula to get babies to sleep well, even after having four. Sometimes they wake, sometimes they dont…

4. She is still keeping us fairly challenged in the washing department. Isaac's first question now if he holds her is 'will she puke on me?'

5. After an initial period of being a bit 'unhappy' for no apparent reason. She now pretty much only cries if something is up….food, sleep or wind….

6. She has just moved into 0-3month old clothing. Few bits of newborn still fit her but she is pretty much out…thats a little bit sad….

7. Still working the Mohawk 🙂

8. She likes to lay down and watch the world go by or sit up in her chair and do the same….not a big fan of the in between positions.

9. She is ticklish…just waiting for those giggles to follow…

10. Starting to talk, cute coos and gurgles…seems to have lots to say 😉

11. She tolerates lots of slightly over excessive cuddles from her siblings with pretty good humour……minimal complaints, well as yet anyway

12. Nearly 3 months in and we are enjoying being a family of six. She brightens up the day. Oh how we love her…..
