my oldest, dearest friend………

we met at school, long long time ago…remember madame Riley??? yikes!!!

we have been through weddings, funerals, babies, nights out, nights in, renegade sheep, ponies, dogs, cats….and then some…

for a long time now we have lived a long way apart and life has kept us busy and sometimes we havent spoken as much as we should but somehow we have always found our way back together….

and a couple of weeks ago my buddy and her family set off to Australia.

he is starting to be interested in drawing and writing..i was starting to wonder….
this is a card for a friend’s birthday, he insisted on doing the name and the little picture is apparently him….and the number 5, because he is 5…

of course!!!

1. leaf blowers? – really what is that about? you get a powerful garden tool that just blows leaves somewhere else…so they become someone else’s problem? I saw a guy the other day blowing leaves onto the pavement from his drive and just leaving them there….wha? is it like the most selfish garden tool there is??

2. halloween….i saw someone with their baby dressed as the devil…….why why why??

3. these..i know i have mentioned these before, but i am seeing them everywhere at the moment and i like….i like lots….although understandably not brand new…i mean, even i know that dreams have to have limits right?

4. We have changed our living rooms round, the front to the back and vice versa. Now I am in the process of painting the front room so we can finally move on from the orange….

5. Poppy has started using that feared phrase ‘i do it’…oh boy…its gonna take half hour of watching her try to get herself into her car seat before she flings herself on the floor in frustration…..sigh….

6. Got to love going to work when you a) find out that they are giving you some time off b) get a bottle of Moet champagne from the parents of a baby and c) find out that the trust are giving every employee £50 high street vouchers for being so darn good….heh 🙂

umm..you know i had so much more…but alas, my brain is switching to night mode….hmmmmmmmm….

on friday evening a lovely young lady from our church called me up for some advice (!!!!)….kind of shocking, but she is about to have a baby (very exciting) her first and she is also a nurse….so she just wanted some advice about juggling childcare and work etc…

Anyways her husband was our photographer at our wedding nearly 6 years ago and i was chatting to her about how his work is going and she mentioned his website, so of course i went to check it out….

all that said and done, after a good nights sleep, a bizarre film on a channel called Dave (yes really) its all good…even if our little girl has had us up with her coughing on and off last night. bless her.
