Cry….

i did this quite a bit today. Today has been a sad day. I wasnt sure whether this was the appropriate sort of stuff to put on here but its my diary so i thought i would.

i went to a funeral of a little baby who i have cared for these past 4 months in hospital. She was one of the sweetest babies i have met and probably the nicest parents….and i can’t tell you how lousy it is that they have lost her.

This sort of thing makes me want to hug my kids to me and never let them go. I can never get my head around why this sort of thing happens. Why i had three pregnancies and three healthy babies and why other people can’t have one. Its baffling…and it will be on my list of questions when i meet my maker.

anyway so i found this tune on youtube and its quite appropriate, especially the very first bit of talk before the music. I have gotta pray, that for the parents of the baby that we said goodbye to today, they will one day understand too.

peace x

Room 101….

this is a TV programme here in the UK where you get to send the things you really hate into Room 101…
and as it is my 101st post…i thought now is my chance….

so a bit of a light hearted one….

Four things for Room 101…

1. DOG POO…….aaaaaaggggghhhhhhh!!!! Dont get me wrong, i know that dog’s have to do their ‘business’ and i dont have a problem with that. It is the small minded, selfish, ignorant people who dont clear up after them!!! So i guess it should be the owners of dogs into Room 101.

2. People watching when you are telling your kids off in public, or not giving into a tantrum over chocolate or a toy or some such other desirable object. Its not entertainment people!!!!

3. People talking during a film at a cinema..not that i have seen anything at a cinema for like a decade or something but man, WHY do they PAY to sit an talk, when you can do it outside for FREE!!!

4. Supermarkets namely Tesco..who have started changing all their two seater trollies to one seater!!! WHAT???? have they taken some kind of cenus and realised that women only come shopping with one trollie seat aged child???? Should i make my 13 month old walk or the 2 year old? hhmmmm….

So there you go. Room 101.

what would you put in Room 101?

we are still at pox x 1 here. Nothing happening on the girls….yet!!! Isaac has been weathering it well and a real trooper. When you are in isolation anything goes and Isaac has been playing a lot with the photo booth software on the mac and this one caught my eye in like the 200 odd pics has taken.

100….

this is my 100th post….so given such a momentous occasion i thought..why not have a little RAK for all you scrapping types….(sorry all non scrappers!) I have sorted through some of my scrapping stuff and also some of the stuff i won in SOY and i thought i would do a bit of a RAK…..so just leave a comment and i will do a draw at some point.

I am shocked to see it has been so long since i last posted. The time is flying by, we have been busy getting our house ready to rent and also doing all the necessary mortgage stuff for our new house. busy busy…..

We have had snow here!!! shock horror..i know..i love snow *sigh* not sure if what we have had can really qualify as snow..more sort of slush…but the kids thought it was great.

and yes, Poppy is walking now and falling, and tripping and crying….this time is such a rough time on a 13 month old, she needs a cushion strapped to her tush and some knee pads..bless her.
also Poppy has finally cut a tooth….we always have done late teething in our family, Isaac was 10 months and Maisie was a year before she got her first teeth but Poppy takes the crown for the latest ever.

My wonderful little boy has the pox..of the chicken variety…which is an odd concept to explain to a 4 year old and even more so to a 2 year old. Maisie keeps looking at Isaac’s spots and going ‘funny Isaac’…..who knows what she is thinking…but im sure thinking she wont be saying ‘funny Maisie’ when she gets it in a week or two. Boy, it sure feels like you have the plague with chicken pox. I went to the supermarket with them yesterday and all the time i was fearing Isaac shouting out ‘I have chicken pox’ and clearing the place!!

I have finally got some scrapping done..some very quick and easy ones.

this layout is actually a lift from the very wonderful Courtney Kelly, who seriously rocks. very annoyed that i cut off the bottom of that one on the scanner…hmpf…

so…phew..bit of a long one…..thanks for stopping by. And sitting on my lap right now, a not very sick 4 year old….although somewhat spotty!!….and just for him, a bit of music that he likes on youtube at the moment..enjoy if you wish..

some constants….

There will always be:

1. a never ending pile of laundry…

2. some area of the bathroom needing cleaning…

3. some part of a victorian terraced house needing attention..

4. some food to be cooked or planned or bought…

5. beds to be made…but i hardly ever do that anyway!!

but there will only be a finite time when i can take three kids to a soggy, wet park and have 20 minutes worth of smiles by playing chase around a roundabout…(that we couldnt sit on ‘cos it was too wet!!)

I need to remember that 🙂
