so i have a question….

how to do explain ‘the army’ to a soon to be 4 year old?

‘cos we were driving past an army truck the other day and isaac asked me what it was….

but he doesn’t know what a ‘country’ is so i couldn’t say that they ‘defend the country’ and he doesnt really know what a soldier is. So what do i say?

Well…i actually started my explaination filled with all of the above words that i knew he would’nt understand and then just tailed off without finishing ‘cos i didnt know where to go with it….

any advice out there in blog land?

one of my layouts that i did the other night looked a bit like this….

yes, yes yes…

finally got some scrapping done. *phew*

I had thought it was never going to happen again. But i bit that bullet, spread all my stuff over the kitchen floors and did three pages ‘just like that’

*and* my wonderful husband has moved my scrapping stuff up to our third and spare bedroom so i have a bit of my own space….so here’s to some more inspirational stuff. Now all i need is some time to do it 😉

Maisie turned two looking very cute. She got some fairy wings and several very girlie things. We have discovered that she likes Barney! (any ideas on where to find barney stuff greatly appreciated….honest)

Lastly some pics….will post the layouts very soon. Just got to get the scanner out of the cobwebs 🙂

2 years…..

This lovely little thing is 2 today….

boy..i love this kid. She is our middle-ie. She is remarkable, beautiful, quirky, cute and has just a touch of attitude 😉

She is growing up. That scares me a little. These two years have flown by. I mean, blink of an eye. In these two years i have had another baby, been back to work twice and been ‘up’ at night more times than i can even care to remember.

But i wouldn’t change one single moment. Well, maybe i would. I’d like to have the moment when i first held her again. When i first realised i had been blessed with a baby girl. When she first smiled, spoke, walked, laughed…….

I am so aware how quickly it goes, if you don’t realised it yourself there are a thousand people telling you. 😉

I found this today and i liked it a lot……

Babies Don’t Keep

Cleaning and scrubbing
Can wait till timorrow,

For babies grow up
We’ve learned to our sorrow.

So quiet down cobwebs,
Dust go to sleep,

I’m rocking my baby,
And babies don’t keep.

made me think…yep got to savour these moments.

thanks to michelle for the inspiration

catching up.

well, kind of.

Fun times. Very very busy. But im getting the impression from other blogs that i happen by that it just seems to be that time of year.

Its funny that the year here seems to run from september. I have felt very ‘new year’ ish recently. Just so many new things going on.

so here is the SP…..

Isaac – in nursery and loving it, i think. He seems cool about it most days. My favourite thing he said this summer was to my mum when he was singing one morning while we were away. ‘I am going to sing and be on a stage’ <------- that is SO going on a layout :)

Maisie – little maisie, she has found her voice and the volume control and set it to LOUD 😉

Poppy – still no real movement except the commando roll….which i have to say gets her about. I found her this morning UNDER her brother’s bed. Well, hey if it aint broke…..?

Our plans – yes, i do have some that don’t include laundry. We had such a great time in the land of the mountie. We are aiming to go back for a longer period of time with the kids but because of visa bits and peices, its likely to be a while. Like three to four years. So until that time we are sticking here.

So whats left of the summer, its kinda warm here and wet. Good ‘ole english weather. I do love it when it starts to get colder. Just love flinging the back door open in the morning to let the really fresh air in. Usually gets everyone else in the family moaning about the cold though 🙂

My scrapping has slowed to a stop at the moment. Setting myself some goals now though. I was looking through a friend’s album recently and it really reminded me what drew me to scrapbooking in the first place. The moments of my life preserved. gotta love it

So to finish……just in case you forgot just who we are….
