Its another work day for me this saturday so this is my offering for satcap. We are finally out of birthday season now. No kids birthdays till September now. phew. This was from my now 4 year olds 2nd birthday. I had been blogging a long time before i discovered the world of blogging. I had been taken photographs before i discovered photography and now those two things have come together and give me a lot of joy. I have made some new and very wonderful friends, gone on some incredible training days with some very talented photographers and have been lucky enough to write about it here. I love that.
In blogdom they have awards as in every area of life and it is always nice to feel a little love. Just recently announced are the MAD blog awards..im guessing the MAD is for mum and dads…it is specific to parents and as so many of us toil away with little thanks from the rug rats. Everyone goes a bit dizzy and flappy around this time.
So im asking in a dizzy way, with my head spinning at the possibility, if you might vote for me in the MADblogawards category of photography. There are other categories…lots..and i have no idea if i would fit into any of them…but hey why not..although prob not the craft one im thinking!

I am usually the last mum to nursery..you know the type…sweeping in at the last minute trying to eeek out those final minutes of kids free time. 🙂
Toady i had a little bit more time as i had met a friend and run a few errands and so i went and parked near the kids nursery and had a quick stroll in the sunshine. Nice to have the sunshine back and the snow gone now.
I love the little white picket type fence gateway that this church has so had to take a few pics. Looking at it I can picture the ladies and gents of years gone by in their sunday best heading to church.
Its a beautiful little setting for a church…but then that isnt what makes a church is it? An impressive building and a pretty gate?
No i think its the people, i think the people are the church..a bit like that little kids rhyme..here’s the church, here’s the steeple..open it up and there are all the people!

I tok this yesterday afternoon in a small window of reasonable weather, no snow on the ground, no freezing rain..it was a nice half hour. Our youngest who could ride this scooter (which up till recently was her big sisters) since around her 2nd birthday. Now it is hers, she likes to ride…and fall…and then ride again…
She doesn’t cry, she can’t stop. She rams into the back of things and people but picks herself up and gets back on. She is tough. Maybe its her character..or maybe its a survival of the fittest thing. Who knows. She just gets on with it.
