Hot in the city…..and bananas…

and it certainly has been that today….hot hot hot. About 32degrees C, not even sure what that is in Fahrenheit, about 90ish…

We all suffered last night because of the heat, dilemma you see, have windows shut and totally overheat or have windows open and listen to drunk or otherwise people kicking wheelie bins or just being very loud at 3am. MMMM…..we went for the window open option:)

so anyway bananas..i know, random but like i said its hot…bear with me:)

Maisie and I have a constant stand off about lunch time, she perfers not to eat what i make and i prefer to not give her yoghurt coated raisins until she becomes one and goes to live in a box. Anyway today i found myself wondering yet again if i would be throwing away the sarny i was thinking of doing when i remembered that she had asked for a banana in the car……

so, cashing in my chips i went for banana sandwiches…..nothing wrong with that really except that
1. she didnt touch them
2. I have NEVER understood why fruit, more specifically banana, should be placed anywhere near bread.

Bananas or any kind of soft fruit shouldnt be in a dependent relationship with bread. Its just not right. Plus bananas turn to brown mush very quickly once opened and mashed in a bit of bread and then it just looks like a dirty muddy sandwich…!!

So…we wont be going there again and maybe ill try something else tomorrow……

Anyway other things…i did some more scrapping and thought id load this one up…..the journaling in the corner is squiffy and also a bit blurred..not sure what happened with the scanner, maybe the heat is getting to it too:)

ciao 4 now.

Love the frowns. You seem to be getting time to scrap – where’s that from? My days are not long enough.

Yes, we have problems with lunch too – I think Finbar is going to turn into a dairy lea cheese dunker pot or a yoghurt. Or failing that a biscuit – at 9.30 this morning he was pointing to the cupboard where the biscuits are and had a right little paddy when I wouldn’t give one to him! Yesterday I set out a lovely plate of ham, cheese, cucumber, tomato and mini pancake (from Mr Tesco) only to have none of it touched. Do you offer something else knowing they’ve eaten or stick to your guns with whats on offer? Oh to understand the mind of a toddler! Finbar is with Maisie on the yoghurt covered raisins!
