so i have a question….

how to do explain ‘the army’ to a soon to be 4 year old?

‘cos we were driving past an army truck the other day and isaac asked me what it was….

but he doesn’t know what a ‘country’ is so i couldn’t say that they ‘defend the country’ and he doesnt really know what a soldier is. So what do i say?

Well…i actually started my explaination filled with all of the above words that i knew he would’nt understand and then just tailed off without finishing ‘cos i didnt know where to go with it….

any advice out there in blog land?

one of my layouts that i did the other night looked a bit like this….

Such a gorgeous photo of you and Poppy. As fot the army thing I’m too tired to get my brain in gear right now. Will think.

Sarah, yikes! That’s a tough one. Maybe just tell them that they are kind of like policemen who protect you? Don’t know. As for the Lost or Grey’s Anatomy thing, I’m very partial to Lost. I’ve never seen Grey’s Anatomy but I hear it’s very good. Been thinking about starting on that one too. 🙂 Have a great day!

Glad I don’t have to explain things yet! I’m not sure if this is a good explanation .. but is a soldier like a big brother, who is asked to protect/look after his little sisters by his mummy? Don’t know where the Grey’s Anatomy thing started, but it is fab! We have already seen the second series in NZ. They are re-showing the first series again. Hooray!
