ten things you may/or may not know about me…

Ten

i was tagged by the lovely @CatParrot, a recent twitterer friend..and author of this blog catsyellowdays to share ten things that you should know about me.

hmmm……i think i may have done this before so if you have a been a reader here for a long time it might be similar..BUT i think back then it may have just been my mother and Hebe reading this blog so it may have been missed.

So..

1. I have to have the duvet opening bit at the end of the bed. Just. have.. to.. It almost freaks me out a bit when i notice that the kids have the opening out bit up my their heads *shudder*

2. I dont like any food that looks like, or in fact has, originated from the floor of an ocean. Its the FLOOR OF AN OCEAN!

3. I have an unhealthy love of the evil diet coke. Even my kids are on at me about it now.

4. i get all emotional at those sappy 'going home to tell the parents you didn't or did make it' bit of the X factor. Its so lame, but its the music, the faces on the awaiting parents, the pride, the tears…they know what they are doing the producers of that show sure enough huh..

5. I love chocolate, thats no surprise but Im not a fancy chocolate type of person..i like Dairy Milk, basic. no additions, straight up.

6. I LOVE the smell of coffee but i don't like the taste. I convinced myself i liked it and drank it when i lived in Canada for 6 months but actually i was just trying to 'blend in'

7. Speaking of Canada, when i lived there i worked on a goat ranch that reared goats specifically for AI with south african boar goat embryos….yeah…thats a conversation stopper!

8. I have breastfed all my children, successfully, and i believe in breastfeeding but i have never understood why people find it desirable to tell people that the way they are feeding their child is wrong especially when their child (and them for that matter) are healthy, happy and going about their ever loving normal lives. My thoughts…there are bigger issues.

9. I can still remember how crushed i was when my english literature teacher gave me the part of Puck in the class reading of 'A midsummer nights dream' and in the next lesson forgot and gave it to someone else. I even learnt the speech "if we shadow have offended…'……..awwwww

10. I had a VW beetle when i was at university in Nottingham called Gloria…after Gloria Gayner's song."i will survive." It had no working fuel indicator so i just used to run out of fuel in random spots. Happened all over the place, one time in a slow moving jam on a motorway and a guy from the large truck behind me just jumped out and shoved the car and me, single handed, off the road.

Okay tagging on…

Your number 7 is certainly the most unexpected one I’ve read so far. That’s one for the memoirs! Thanks for joining in.
