This week my ranty friday can only be reserved for this…
no..no..no this is not an image from a couple of months ago in the winter…
it was this morning at about 8am.
and its still snowing….
It is March, its not just early march, its nearly pay day march and its snowing.
its s-n-o-w-i-n-g
I think i have said before that I am not a big fan of snow, which i realise is an irony coming from a snowboarder and skier of many years. But its all about situation…
snow in the moutains, when you are on holiday, when its the softest of powdery/dry stuff that kisses your nose and dances to the floor, when the school run is mooching to the ski school and waving your factor 50’d kids off for a morning of fun….then snow is FUN, snow is great, snow is what we all want.
snow in grey and dreary UK on a random friday when the temperatures should be hauling themselves into double figures, when its the wettest slushy kind of nonsense, when you have 30 seconds to have a half hour fight with your two year old about wearing a coat because you know that the chill factor is about as biting as a bucket of sharp knives, when the wellies have holes in, the hats are away now and the gloves sit deserted in a pile of oddness because really we thought that SPRING WAS ON IT’S BLOODY WAY!
Then……then snow is no fun at all.
and to add insult to serious injury I went to post a client’s disc today and slipped right onto my ar** on the slush! Needless to say i skulked off, cursing this weather and holding back the tears, once I was hauled up by some well meaning bystander after thrashing around like a tortoise stranded on its back.
yeah yeah yeah….hah hah hah ha…
was that karma winter? hmmmmm…
Anyway…
Winter. you and i have officially BROKEN UP!

I am SO with you and am OVER the snow… it’s set to arrive here tomorrow and I am not happy! The shops are full of spring and summer stuff, yet the weather is arctic! Ridiculous!
I’m so with you too! Its not quite snow like that here… but its so cold, I could cry. I was all spring ready too!
