Typically for Liverpool we have had our half term at a different time to everywhere else it seems. I think I would have opted for the longer term at the start. We now have a 71/2 week term till christmas break. We didnt do much, the best bit was the lie ins….i think we were all still in our jammies at 11am one morning. bliss. The kids had a super treat in the morning and got to watch TV on the laptop in our bed and one morning we did a continental brekkie for them too. Which they thought was great but we ended up washing the bedding thanks to the pain au chocolat!!
Welcome to the world…

a baby no more…
Poppy is now in a big girl bed…i know lots of other kids go into beds much earlier but she has been cool with her cot bed for a while. But recently she was getting out of it by climbing over and being honest she was really good at it. But we decided to move her out and we actually changed the cot bed into a 'proper' bed. As in removed the high sides and the put on the little mini bed heads. We have had this cot since Isaac was a baby and have never done that….whoever was in the cot had to be moved along for the next one. It looked so small, i had to go in and keep looking at it. Cant believe she is getting so big. The baby trappings are pretty much gone from the house now. I know it wont be for long but it feels different somehow, there is nearly the same age difference between Poppy and this new baby that there is between Isaac and Poppy!!!
some more for Nanan
my little boy turned six….
yes, i know it was a week and a bit ago but he had his party on saturday and it was a success. It is party season at the moment in school. We have had one on saturday and sunday for the past three weekends, starting to feel a lot like a taxi service and a bit of a bank. Isaac had 20 of his friends to a party in a local university sports centre who hire out their coaches to entertain and exhaust the children for 2 hours ish. There were a lot of red faces and lots of requests for drinks!!!
