my little lad smiling and joking with us at the dinner table this evening….something i have missed muchly in these past couple of weeks.

and our little girl getting better…

last night we went to our pastor’s 50th birthday, which for him was obviously quite a big event, but for us it was also as we went OUT!!! – like just us…WOOHOO

and to top it all there was an AMAZING band playing at the do and I could have stayed and listened/boogie/watch them for hours…i would link them but im unsure what they are called, one of the guys in the band is a very talented guy in our church so i will find out. boy oh boy did it ever remind us that ‘oh yes..we like live music’ – ooh, let me tell you there was much dancing going on……

and then we got back to to find our little Maisie was still struggling with this cold she has had for the past week and her breathing was all sporadic and she had a temp…

right thought i…all fired up from my night on the tiles…im going to get her looked at, there is only so much ‘being sick’ i can tolerate before i am like..right time to get this sorted and find out what it is, i am after all, a nurse.

So we went to the A&E, waited far too long ( i think they lost her notes!) and got told yes, she was still working very hard….yes she likely has a chest infection…here are some antibiotics….

and all this took till 4am this morning…..OY…

Hoping to see some big improvements now that she has the meds…just need to get her to take them…

I picked Isaac up from school and he seemed in a pretty bad mood. When i asked him what it was he said that he didnt want to go to school every day. I said ‘ well thats okay, ‘cos you do five days in school and then you get 2 off, how great is that?’

it went quite…

then he said…

‘I want 30 years off and 1 day in school!”

I laughed…

and he said ‘okaaay…10 years off then and 1 day in school’

yes, three years ago our little pink princess joined the family. Today she has eaten lots of cake, blown out candles….twice…and in amongst her presents, not surprisingly, was a lot of pink stuff, glamour princess kit, dora backpack (which she has worn all day) and a princess lunch bag……she had a party on saturday with some family and ill share some pics soon…but for now, from today….

There is nothing we can do..she is going to be pink….

oh and that is a fresh chocolate cake face 🙂
