on the old blogola….

not beacause i havent got things to say but we are in the start school home strait and i can’t think about much else really…

BUT….i did about a week or so ago and did some scrapping and even…**whisper** digi scrapping…which i have been wanting to try for ages and now, thanks to photoshop, i have been able to…and me likey 🙂

although not crazy about the Mac now being quite slow as a result of having loaded photoshop. but hey…here are some paper scrap pages i have done, not ready to share the digi ones yet and not sure i know how to anyway…lol

and wait for it…a 12×12 layout that i did and you know what it is one of my favourites…have no idea how to scan it and splice it together in photoshop so this slightly naff pic is the best i could do…

i know there are some of you out there who check in on this blog because you know Ben… and im guessing sometimes you wonder if he is, in fact, still here….well without further ado…


he is back to school for a new term and we are missing him around the house. **sigh**
only one week now till our little baby starts school, i mean..seriously..how did that happen…

a couple of days ago we went to get Isaac’s hair cut. It had grown LOTS over the summer and we had just left it…ya know..just let it grooow.

We were asking the barber if it gets busy at this time of year what with back to school and everything…and he said yes it does, then he said..

‘ i dont know why people are so desperate to have their kids hair cut short…i mean kids all look the same in their uniforms anyway, its a shame that they all have the same short haircuts too..i mean were is the individuality in that?”

and you know what, i have been thinking about that since. I did volunteer the ‘its because he might get nits’ argument to the barber but he looked suitably un-impressed.

Anyways, it was a lesson.. to let my boy be who he is and not worry about him fitting in. After all that is probably my worry and not his in all honesty at the moment. He is a little kid who abundantly loves his life and in a totally fabulous and enviable way doesnt really care about what he looks like….yet…I really hope that he never worries about it.

This was shown to us at work the other day, its a video of a little boy who was admitted to our unit earlier this year, he was born 10 weeks early (which actually isnt too bad…honest!). They have made a cute little video and stuck it on youtube..thought you might want to see it….
