aside from the somewhat traumatic trip to a supermarket this morning!! As we are generally in church on a sunday morning we rarely go to the shops and it would seem that a lot of other people do!! boy oh boy..one very busy shop, three very over excited kids…yeah..im sure you can imagine…

this should give you an idea of what is happening in our house at the moment…..

Maisie has been remarkable with the potty thing….she just got it. I knew there was going to be a benefit in leaving her in nappies till she was nearly three!!! She has had two accidents in two days and last night got herself up from bed and went to get the potty and did a wee.

and harry….well….i had wanted to wait till we are away to read but someone at work offered me their spare copy and i couldnt refuse. trying to read it slowly…..but really, is that possible??

Its also getting really hard to avoid people who know the ending.

and it kinda caught me by surprise.

Today was Isaac’s last day at nursery and saying goodbye to the lovely nursery staff just caught me off guard. I dont know if it just made it more real that he is going to school in about 8 weeks time, or that going to nursery has been a part of my life for a year and a half and the ladies there are a bit like ‘family.’ Maybe its just that transition thing..moving from one stage to another is always a bit scary..the unknown…its exciting because i think he is really ready for school but scary at the same time because its the end of the innocent baby years.

sheesh…im just welling up thinking about it…

it was a space man and under the sea party at nursery today!!?? I made isaac a little spaceman helmet guessing he probably wouldnt wear it, he doesnt really ‘do’ dressing up. He didnt, but he did ask to put it on once we got home….

and of course Maisie wanted to have a go to.

this is not a reference to a 80’s ska band. But the fact that our garden is covered in sluggs..maisie cant say it properly. But we have so many of them in the garden at the moment…ick..ick..ick…

the kids think they are great….

they are only here because of this wonderful ‘wet’ summer we are having.

unfortunately Maisie was just referring to the few that live on the deck that seem to have gone to ground recently……

bleh….why are they here? what use to they serve? other than to eat my plants?? discuss 🙂
