yes…back to reality. Don’t you just hate the way it comes round waaaay to quick.

Cant believe its been a week since i last posted. It just doesnt seem like it. Time has a way, as they say, of flying when you are having fun, although interestingly it seems also to go quick when you are not having fun..which is good i suppose.

Interesting things this week. I have totally loved a book by a lady called Jackie Clune, who is a actor who had triplets about 18 months ago and has written a book about it, she also has a daughter who was about 15 months, i think.

I have such ridiculous admiration for mums of multiples, partly because i have nursed babies who are multiples so many times as they are very likely to be born early or need a bit of help. But also because i am fascinated by them. I can never quite get my head around multiples..i mean, the human body is designed to gestate one at a time..we dont have large wombs and we tend to have just enough room for one baby….so why is it that multiple births happen? why do eggs split producing a carbon copy of itself… I just find it all remarkable and i love it.

In her book Jackie speaks with such affection, honesty and truth about motherhood that I felt like tracking her down to shake her hand. I know she is a multiple mum and I have had my three all as singles but the bare bones of the job are the same.

We where asked recently by some new parents…’so when do you get it sorted?’ I responded…’you don’t…’ and i think the expectation that you should ‘get it sorted’ often leads to problems. Kids are amazing, babies are wonderful but they change and alter quicker than the weather and you just have to adjust….a lot 🙂

and besides..its the journey that counts, not the destination. Which is a good thing, because sometimes we don’t know where we are going HA!

Can you believe it 2007….man, i dont think i could even imagine that time when i was younger. I remember thinking what will it be like in the year 2000..but ’07….oh my…

So, do you do lists? resolutions? new thinking?

I am not really into resolutions, they are generally always too high expectations to live up to.

But lists, that i can do…because we have lots of things to do this year….so we probably need lots of lists…

We have, this year, to see…

our first little boy into school…eeeek…

move house, yes sshhh but we are hopefully moving in the next couple of months

become landlords!!

get some more scrapbooking done…..

run…walk…crawl through this time of our lives….you know, the heads down raising babies years..but its all good. :).. and yes, emma that also means ‘not getting pregnant’ this year too..LOL

and some good news..scrapbooker of the year….i am among one of the runners up, meaning that i get a nice tidy prize of £150 worth of stuff. I am really chuffed about it actually. The 8.5 x 11 size is so ‘not’ the norm here in the UK. I mean, even in the magazine they have listed it as A4!!!! Wha??? Not the same ladies 😉 So thanks so much to everyone who voted.

exactly one year ago today…..even almost to this time….this little girlie joined our family.

So he was awesome in his nursery nativity play. The teachers had obviously told him to sing loud and he did just that. I think Silent night sounded quite punk rock at times courtesy of Isaac’s singing and when they sang little donkey it thought to myself ‘i didnt know Isaac was doing a solo..’

oh yes, that is how loud he was…but i was so incredibly proud of him, he sang like there was no-one there watching let alone 60 odd parents all pointing camcorders at the stage.

so….i think as it is 11pm and i am working tomorrow..a short list..

1. still haven’t heard anything from scrapbooker of the year! what are they trying to do to me!!!

2. A super duper package arrived from USA with very groovy scrapping stuff in it that made me smile.

3. 5 days to go…..

4. Have only just realised take that have made a come back..yeah yeah, i know where have i been 😉

5. Poppy is moments away from walking, she launches herself from one bit of furniture to another.
