so it didnt take that long…..

for the grumpies to leave 🙂

The good thing about us is that we don’t stay down for long. The same issues are present but the outlook has changed.

Tomorrow is always a new day, the sun will shine and you never know what it will bring……

Thanks so much to all of your kind words too…i really appreciate them.

Some good things today

1. i had half a day annual leave..YAY..which meant i got to leave work at 7.5 hours done instead of 14.

2. I have done some scrapping….DOUBLE YAY….love it so much, that i lay in bed thinking about it for ages last night..which is something, i can tell you. Little, if anything keeps me awake at night.

3. The sun shone today..blue skies but it was sooooo cold….a blue sky day. For mountain hounds like us that is sheer paradise.

and just because i can, here is a video of our little girl, taken in the airport waiting to fly home from Vancouver earlier this year…..

oh yes and btw ‘Tuppy’ is ‘Nappy’ I realised that my american friends would call this a diaper and so it would make even less sense 🙂

Because….

i didnt want to leave such a gloomy post at the top of my blog.

We are still a bit gloomy but you know what they say……well, i don’t know really but im sure its something uplifting…

so anyway some latest pics….and this very cute word from Maisie…her language is so unique. We often say she needs a phrase book attached to her when she is out of our care..LOL

‘Tuppy’ – anyone wanna guess ?

Back to the drawing board….

So we call the estate agent yesterday about the house and they inform us that it already has an offer on it……and i am

g.u.t.t.e.d

really, i had already planned ‘us’ being in that house and i am seriously miffed about it….

yes, i know, i know all the ‘there will be a better one you know’ comments. But it just had that feel to it, you know, like this was our next home, and now, not.

and we both feel kinda down about it.

This afternoon i am going to see some friends of ours who have had their second baby a week or so ago. That’s gotta cheer me up right?

take it easy

a few things…..

well, quite a few things i guess so im gonna list ’em…

1. isaac had his birthday, yep lots of fun. He had a great time, no major problems except a particularly stubborn pinata that refused to give it up. But big kid, in the form of Daddy, stepped up and kicked some pinata butt 😉 Here are some pics. Regrettably the lighting in Frontline (our church) is so bad that they are not that great but here are a few….

2. We have been to see a house that we like very much. But this time we took Mum and Dad. Still liked it a lot even though it has a huge amount of work needed. I think the decor is fighting with each other all around the house. To give you an idea, this is our sweet Poppy standing up, something she does all the time now on the stairs. Notice that i have put it into b&w for fear of causing typepad to crash 😉 but you can still see the horror…..

But despite that we still like it. Particulary this part of it…..

3. Feels like christmas is around the corner and aside from the fact that Ben and I are trying to decide which shift is the best for me to do on christmas day….yeah..right…ummm..would that be miss christmas morning, christmas dinner or leave my hubbie sat in by him self for me to work the evening shift…..Yep BIG downside to my job is that babies don’t look after themselves on the 25th December and women don’t stop having babies on the 25th either……although c’mon ladies...try….before you leave a comment melanie, i know, i know….there is nothing you can do about it if your baby puts in an appearance on the 25th….its okay, honest.LOL

So anyway christmas means presents and i want to get on with mine and had been trying to track some mini books down and today..i found them……..in a forest….

well okay not quite but very near a forest in a very quaint tea shop type place that we stopped at to get the kids ice cream. So very happy about that and should get on with that soon. here is a bit of a clue…

what do they call that? Serendipity i believe 🙂

So we are still running fairly fast in this house at the moment. Crashing towards the festive season and i am starting to wonder where the breaks are….

but on sunday we drove down a beautiful road full of trees ‘turning into autumn’ as Isaac puts it.

and i thought…’you know what, i love this time of year’

You know what…

I spent some time today talking to a very good and dear friend of mine who i don’t see nearly enough. She is in the exciting stage of expecting her first baby and is all full of the excitement and apprehension of impending first time parent hood

and it made me think….

no, not about having another baby…LOL

But about when i was expecting Isaac, who four years ago would have been just under a week old. More specifically I thought about some of the very good friends i made through my parenting classes.

Because before we met in our class, we no doubt, would have had very little in common. But we got connected through our pregnancies and then our babies and now our lives..

and i don’t see them nearly enough either because they have both moved away from here…

but i miss you guys and loved seeing you a couple of weeks ago..lets do it again soon. The kids had bucket loads of fun. 🙂 and YAY i have finally worked it out……how to load a video…watch out for some more soon…….
