the picnic…

We have had a picnic (or nicnic) as Maisie calls them for the last two days. Loving the eating outside options for this great weather we are having. Mind you sleeping last night in a room that was about 26degrees was a bit uncomfortable BUT I will not descend into that trait of the brits to moan about the weather, it has been just fine.
Having a bit of battle with Maisie about wearing a hat. We had a kind of in and out of the buggy period when we where out for a walk on friday and she seemed to get the message, out of the buggy with hat on = having fun with big brother. Taking hat off and running away from mummy = being put back in buggy and no fun to be had. Isaac has also decided that this year he will wear a hat and we went to a shop on friday and he chose a hat which had the England colours on it so he was quite appropriately dressed for yesterday.

Poppy gets no choice at all, she gets a hat and thats it. The colour of her skin the poor little thing will be wearing a hat in any kind of sun for the rest of her life. Suddenly feeling a bit of understanding for my mum chasing me around with hats and suncream etc. :0)

Anyway we did a pre-birthday birthday today with our kiddies for Mummy’s birthday. They got to blow the candles out on the caterpillar cake that Daddy had got from M&S, one time each and sing happy birthday. Got to love the fact that my birthday turns into a big treat for them…:0)
Funny thing, i gave Poppy a rice cake in church this morning and she sucked away at it quite successfully and then cried when i tried to take it away….i think she is tyring to tell me something….

well, the big day tomorrow. Im going to the shops and treat myself and Poppy to a Starbucks.

some picnic park pictures. big love, im out.
