beautiful little park near us…last saturday, such beautiful weather…so lovely. This is an ornamental garden, im thinking that a lot of people just come and sit here judging by the vast number of benches. There were about as many in the other direction too…

Happy Father's day to the best daddy to my four children. Despite having some fairly lousy father figure examples in his own life continues to rise to the challenge of parenting children in this time. The kids adore him and I do to 😉

and yes i know this is an odd picture but i took it when the kids decided to get out onto the pavement out the house to sell cakes to the neighbours one sunday to make some money for their piggy bank. What makes it significant to me was that I would be a tad uncomfortable about doing this but Ben just rolled with it, chatted to the passers by and let the kids take the lead. I. Love. That.

ps…they made £8.40 selling about 13 cakes in total 😉

my birthday…

hmmm..so it was a week ago but you know how it is…..

I had a pretty good day really. Woken up at 5am by Isaac wishing me happy birthday..bless him..after having been woken at 4.30am by Matilda with her own little birthday message! We did presents and then the kids had a little treasure hunt to find my present from Ben and my parents……which was CS4 and Lightroom…set me loose, im fully loaded 😉

School run where Isaac was trying to tell the lollipop man it was my birthday by shouting across at me 'Happy birthday Mummy!' love that kid.

The girls and I chilled at home for the morning, and then went to a friends house for some lunch and cake…of course…

Then after school we had football….in true dedication stylie….watched Isaac play two lots of football, one at school and the other at Liverpool football club Academy…

We had a picnic tea and then home for bed and chill….

Yeah doesnt sound like much but i hung out with some of my most favourite people on this fair earth and was blessed by the generosity of my family.

You. all. Rock.

summer do…

i did finally do the deed and take the girls for a hair cut. It must be about a year since Maisie last had her hair cut and Poppy had never had her hair cut….

i know…

im not a big 'trip to the hairdresser' type person myself..the decision of what to do, the possible implications just about halt me ever taking the plunge..

so..

i took the girls and it was fine, apart from the fact that not one of them muttered a sound whilst their hair was being cut and yet you will find me on any given morning at ten to leaving time, trying to deal with the crying and gnashing of teeth that ensues when i so much as try to brush their hair…..

yeah….im not bitter….;)

It was okay, Maisie has quite a bit cut off and Poppy got a trim. I had been advised against cutting in a fringe (bangs for those from the US) so kind of a tidy up really. But got a bit of a shock when she said 20 pounds for the two. Seriously that sort of money for about 15 minutes work…not bad…

think i might be trying it myself next time…pudding bowl anyone???

🙂
