i am shattered…tiredness has sat behind my eyes all day and at times threatened to take me out….and here I am sat (not lying) in bed listening to the soft snoring coming from sweet Matilda and the gentle whirring of the laptop fan.
I’ll have some extra time please….
from the extra time shop :)
a 180…
yes,,i have and i did just the other night do a total 180. I met a little cavalier king charles last night at a friends house. Couldnt get over how cute he was…and suddenly there i was thinking 'should we get a dog..' I know! i think Ben just about fell over when i mentioned it when i got back. I am not 'anti' dogs, Im not anti animal. But living in Liverpool can sadly give doggie owners a bit of a bad name. There is a massive problem with fouling the streets and since having kids that has nearly driven me to distraction, dog muck on shoes, on hands, YUK…. Also there is the culture here amongst some people to have those horrible 'fighting' breeds..i dont even know what they are, but its a status symbol and something I dont really want to have anything to do with…
But…since meeting little Moby…i might, maybe, could, change my mind…..I think its something to do with as well, seeeing how the kids grieved for Josh and just love being around him. There is something pretty special about growing up with animals in the house to stroke and pet and hang out with. I grew up around assorted 'pets' we had guinea pigs (who i have to say usually died!), hamsters, rabbits ( i remember when my first rabbit died..just about broke my heart!), tortoises (one who went on a marathon walk!), chickens, assorted ponies, two lovely dogs…yeah you know i think it enhanced my childhood…..hmmmmm….
Ben said to me…"so exactly when are you thinking of getting this dog?' i replied 'oh im not..just floating the idea..'
He said ' i think you are going to need more balloons!"
Mum, you might want to take that shocked expression off your face…( this is a library pic, we havent been out and got one!)
🙂
i love it when…
you can put babies down in just a vest because the room is so lovely and warm. It was 25degreesC (77F) yesterday and we had a lovely day of hanging out with a very cool family and then onto a picnic at a park with some other friends. I love the sun. Things just seem easier, no heavy coats to lumber with, back door open all the time, fresh washing on the line, kids outside getting kissed by those golden rays and breakfast, dinner and tea sitting in the garden, the smells of bbq drifting into the house in the afternoon, freckles on noses, dirty feet from going barefoot everywhere. Just about the perfect temperature for me 🙂
its rubbing off just a little….
Isaac had a big day on tuesday, he got to go and see Liverpool Football Club play at their ground in Anfield. It was a big deal, first match for him and first visit to a premiership ground for his Daddy too. They both really enjoyed it..well until the point that Liverpool lost and then Isaac was heartbroken…it was only the youth team not the actual premiership team, cos the tickets are a lot cheaper and the ground is not nearly as full but predictably he now wants to go and see the top team so that he can see the great Steven Gerrard play. I dont know, you have to hope that these guys realise just how much of a role model they are to these young boys….
