whilst i was trying to think about the tiny, sick, infant i was supposed to be presenting. Trying to focus on the hypotension, RDS, NEC…..and such like that i had to talk at length about…
wondering how i feel about raising a surfer?….me, always always go for snow….water, too wild, too scary, too many large things swimming around with big teeth!!!
In other news…
I have been a bit MIA this week because i had some study to do. Had a Viva (posh word for presentation) today at work of a patient. Which im pleased to say i passed…WOOT!
Ben has lost his voice, not a great thing to happen when you are a teacher.
Isaac started back at school with no problem, he asked me on the first day to invite a couple of his friends over to play….its in progress…
I have been watching a little bit of the food fight on channel 4, about the free-range chicken and eggs etc…..yeah they got me, i was an easy target though…i am a lapsed vegetarian after all. Free range all the way.
and finally just look at this little girl striking a pose…
well, not here but in York. The kids…wow…excited doesnt even come close….
I mean it was quite a ‘small’ amount of snow and somewhat wet and slushy…but hey we take what we can get…..
so wonderful to see the kids playing in the snow with their big and much loved cousin, Isabelle. One of my favourite images from the day (which if course i forgot to photograph..pfff) was all the gloves, hats and scarves on the radiator afterwards….and those lovely rosy cheeks….
ahhh i love the snow…..
and happy birthday to this little cutie pie
my goddaughter, who turned 3 today. Happy birthday Miss Mia and if your mummy is reading give her and your lovely new sister a big hug from me.
into her second year, little miss poppy grace. two years ago at this time ben and i were trying to hide out in the maternity suite before they kicked us out. It was so blissful. the two of us, the one sleeping baby, no cooking, no washing, no nothing……bliss
anyway she had a party day all day…she ran, slid, jumped, laughed, cried, bounced, climbed, ate spaghetti and cake and totally passed out about 2pm.
It funny that a little shy of three years ago i found out i was expecting her and it came as more than a litle bit of a shock….Maisie was only 7 months old and i was really not ready to be pregnant again. But she is such a welcome addition to our family and such an incredible blessing, i am thankful for every one of the last 24 months we have had with her….
here she is singing happy birthday, along with isaac at the start of the video singing a song from the snowman movie. They are all very much into it and i think we have watched it every day since it arrived. Poppy calls it ‘me-man’
its not a great video, poppy has yet to work out that you can’t be videoed and see it on the screen at the back at the same time…which is what she is trying to do….so enjoy if you can…..
and to anyone else that has made it this far.. a very very happy new year….
