so no, i havent disappeared from the earth, much as i’d like to sometimes, its been a weird couple of days, good and weird if you know what i mean.
But i was starting to feel a few withdrawal symptoms from my blog. But it has been one of those whirlwind weekends and now i find the time, as in when i should be in bed…hahahahaha…

soooo, sunday..cool thing happened. I sat in church….yes i know doesnt sound that incredible, something i do every week. But the emphasis should be on sat. You see i had Isaac in sparklers 🙂
Maisie in big girl creche and Poppy a first timer in little girl creche. So that leaves a mummy able to sit in big person church without having to worry about little people….most excellent…….

And something else our little popsicle is doing now, an excuse to stick in a photo of our little girlie, is sit up. She is getting a bit good at it but does take the inevitable nose dive for the floor.

The other thing i did over the weekend was get stuck into a few layouts, one i was doing for a challenge on a 2peas. I got involved with it because i thought that it looked a bit different from what i would usually do and i can safely say that yes it was..but i enjoyed it…..

I have come to the conclusion though that i need…no i mean really need…more scrapbook stuff, So today, my day when we are just two in the james house. I spent sifting through stuff to sell on ebay to get some more STUFF……i was walking round the house thinking ‘mmmm..could i sell that??’

Yes im starting to get concerned to, hopefully it wont progress to me holding up the local co-op to fund my habit!!!

Well better dash, we have some computer juggling to do. Getting ready to send our lovely powerbook on its jollies to the nice people at applemac and get reaquainted with the ‘bit more chunky’ ibook.

and something else i have to say, or at least should have said two days ago is Happy Canada Day..and what the heck a bit of a pre-emptive Happy Independence Day….

we have one of these and i have been slowly making friends with it and its gone and let us down. Some pixels on the screen have died (resisting the ‘i didnt know they where sick’ line!). So its got to go and get fixed. No need to fret we have found a way round the absence of our link to the outside world Thanks dad) but i will miss it, i’ll miss ‘photo booth’
This lovely bit of software brings you a lot of my daily pics. So i will have to use the camera once the Powerbook goes on its hols.

We were in Poppy’s room trying to get her to sleep…

Isaac comes in and shuts the door, which given the black out blind, makes it pretty dark. Poppy starts to whinge a bit…isaac goes up to her and says…

‘Poppy, its okay, its okay, its only a bit dark and there’s no dragons….’

He is such a dude. have a good friday……s

did i ever tell you the one about the little girl who was part limpet, part human???

Well i think we have one of those!

Not entirely fair i suppose, she is a bit on the poorly side at the moment, streaming nose and nasty cough. But boy, she could do survellience for the FBI. I only have to move a finger and she is watching me to see if im going to leave the room.

Today, she was very tired though and ended up in bed before tea because she got herself into such a state. Poppy also went to bed before bath time and so we had Isaac to bath and put in bed. Oh, how easy is that…….

Speaking of Isaac, we were in the supermarket today, i always think i look like crazy women with too many kids, 2 kids in the trolley seat, one in car seat in the main bit of trolley with shopping piled around her.
Anyway we were coming out of the shop and Isaac spies an older lady (shall we say) pushing her trolley and says to me:

‘what’s that girl doing?’

Im searching around looking for a young girl….then he asks me again.

and i say ‘i can’t see any girl isaac’ He says it again and this time points at the old lady

and i say ‘ oh she’s old isaac’

so he then says…

‘what’s that old girl doing?’

thankfully she didn’t hear him…….sort of my fault anyway. ;0)

has taken to having her afternoon nap on the blossom farm play gym. We follow this little ritual…i put her in bed after a bite to eat and she complains, i go back into her room, she is turned around in her cot and smiling at me. I say ‘go to sleep now’. I go out, she gets louder with her complaints. I go back in, she smiles. I give up, pick her up and bring her downstairs. Put her on the playgym and she falls asleep. Weird…..

Not the place I would choose to have a kip but she seems to need a bit of company, but only at that time of the day. She makes no fuss at any other time…still, gives me a few times of running up and down the stairs, thats got to be good right?

I have found a great scrapbooking website, www.addictedtoscrapbooking.com. Loads of stuff on it, big downside, obviously, is it is in the states. But still i am starting a wish list.

I have been scanning in a few more layouts, trying to ‘make friends’ with the scanner. so here for your viewing pleasure……bit of an old one of the kids in the tub day after Poppy was born, new years day. I have got a couple of on going ones that i haven’t finished yet…just need to get some more stuff to finish them off…….YAY more scrap shopping…..

Hi again. Good weekend? Yes? good, mine was too. Well i think it was, i find myself in a place at the moment when someone asks me a question like….’How was your weekend?’ I answer with ‘yeah..fine’ and then think ‘what in heck did i do?’ I think its called mummy brain or something…..

So what in the heck did we do? Not much really, the usual, shopping for me on saturday morning and then we went to the park in the afternoon to see the animals as Maisie says. Thats animals btw 😉

Which is actually just some ponies from the local riding for the disabled school that backs on to the park, they weren’t there. So we went to the swings etc etc…..

Isaac said something very interesting to me on the way too the ducks. Calderstones park is under a flight path and as we were walking a plane goes over and he says to me

‘mummy, looks there’s a plane!’

‘Oh yes’ says i

Big pause

‘plane’s don’t eat chocolate ice-cream’

um………..

interesting that he differentiated, im assuming that they do eat other flavours then?

Anyway a little layout that i did over the weekend, managed to do a few, starting to get into a flow i guess. Slightly limited by supplies but the only way is up (that is the credit card balance im referring to…..LOL)
